Registering a walk-in
For an animal that arrives without an appointment. Takes under a minute.
- Choose Register walk-in on Today or Patients.
- Enter the owner's name and phone number, and email if you have it.
- Enter the pet's name and species. For a rodent, reptile or Other, add what kind of animal it is.
- Leave Create a visit for right now ticked to check the animal in straight away.
- Choose Register patient, then Start the visit.
When the owner already has an account
Tails of Leo matches on phone and email first. If the owner already has an account, the pet is added to it instead of creating a duplicate, so the records do not split in two. You get access straight away, because the animal is in front of you; the owner is told, and can withdraw it.
When they do not
The records are held for them until they sign up. Create an invite code (see Invite codes and owner requests) so their pet's history moves onto their account when they do.
